As the arts continue to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, TYAI wishes to extend an invitation to members, new and old, to continue to engage with each other. Connection and communication will be vital as restrictions begin to lift as we move through 2021.
With so many cancellations, lost earnings and uncertainty about the future, it's a vulnerable time for all of us. Presenters are having to take tough decisions and these can be difficult to deal with alone. We are all in this together and that's ultimately how we'll get through it.
As a community we can support each other through remote connection, empathy and compassion to get us through the coming weeks and months. Digital media is our friend in these trying times so let’s use it to stay connected, share art, humour and compassion. We are so much stronger together as a community. Let's take care of ourselves and look out for each other so we're rested and ready for the challenge when this passes.
The National Campaign for the Arts NCFA may also be able to help provide us with a united focus through our recovery. Keep an eye on the Arts Council website (www.artscouncil.ie) for deadlines regarding new funding schemes.
Please contact TYAI Committee via info.tyai@gmail.com if you have particular concerns. We’re a small voluntary group who may not have the answers but we will do our best to support you and find the answers you need.
Take care and mind yourselves and each other, TYAI Committee
