TYA Ireland (the Irish centre for ASSITEJ International) is the national association representing and promoting professional organisations and individual artists whose work primarily focuses on engaging children and young people in Ireland through theatre. TYAI is supported by Theatre Forum.

Purpose
Theatre for Young Audiences Ireland serves its members by sustaining a community of individual artists and organisations making excellent performances for young audiences. We create professional networking and development opportunities, respond to the needs of the sector and advocate for the sector's development with policy makers and funders. TYAI is the seat of ASSITEJ International in Ireland.

TYAI & Assitej International
TYAI is the Irish National Centre for Assitej International - a global organisation that represents the sector worldwide. Every three years there is an Assitej world congress and TYAI has three seats at the congress with voting rights. The 2023 Assitej International Gathering will be held in Belgrade, Serbia.
